Electronic keyboard

Here at Anne Turner Music you can learn to play the electronic keyboard. I have a Yamaha Keyboard in the music room or you can bring your own model along if you prefer.

Most music for the keyboard involves playing a melody with the right hand and accompanying chords with the left hand. This method may be seen as more straight-forward than playing the piano.

After starting with the beginner manuals the scope for repertoire widens considerably. From nursery rhymes for the children, to pop music to suit young adults and, of course, easy-listening and well-known classics for more mature learners.

Electronic keyboards have the facility to use a variety of sound settings, plus backing rhythms, which all help to enhance the overall musical effect and make full use of the instrument.
